Artist's Description
Image is Castle Geyser in the Upper Geyser Basin of Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming. It is noted for the particularly large geyserite sinter deposits, which form its cone. When hot springs overflow they often form layers of sinter, a rock made of very fine-grained silica, that takes the form of flats, terraces and mounds. Sinter terraces are one of the most distinctive features of geothermal areas. These deposits at Castle Geyser have been likened in appearance to a castle. About Priscilla Burgers
I was born and raised in the Metropolitan New York City area of New Jersey but have lived in Arizona for forty years. After retiring from high school counseling and teaching, I discovered the joy of photography and digital art. Although I strive to get the shot right in the camera, I enjoy the artistic and creative aspects of working with image editing programs. Capturing the beauty of God's creation with landscape photography was my first passion. I thank God for his creations and that I am fortunate enough to see and capture a part of them with my camera. I have also come to enjoy many other facets of photography, such as wildlife, American Western, farm, church, and ghost town photography. I take great pleasure in traveling and...
