CHEYENNE BOOTS by PRISCILLA BURGERS

"These Boots are made for Talking" was a joint project of the Cheyenne Depot Museum Foundation and the Downtown Development Authority. The boots were sponsored by local businesses and auctioned as a fundraiser. The nearly $100,000 raised went to the Cheyene Depot Museum Endowment Fund to benefit the museum. Each of the 18 boots was painted by one or more of the area's creative artists. The theme of the project for the artists was "If this boot could talk, what story would it tell?" The boots are a destination point for visitors and area residents alike. The pictured boot, entitled "Milestones: Chamber 100th Anniversary" stands in front of the historic Cheyenne Train Depot.
