Description
A pair of leather gloves and two lanterns lie on the fireplace of the Trading Room at Bent's Old Fort in La Junta, Colorado. The fort was one of the significant centers of the fur trad on the the Santa Fe Trail, influencing economies aroun the world. Opened in 1833, the fort became one of the pillars of the Western fur industry in the 1830s and 1840s.
My husband, Neal Burgers, captured this beautiful image lit by natural window light.
