Description
PICTURESQUE FISHER TOWERS by PRISCILLA BURGERS
The picturesque Fisher Towers lie about eighteen miles from Moab in southeastern Utah. Made of sandstone, the Towers cast a beautiful glow when they catch the rays of the setting sun. The reflection of the Towers in the Colorado River and the backdrop of clouds add to the drama of this scene. Fisher Towers was named after a miner who lived near them in the 1880's. The Towers are world-renowned as a subject for photography and for their classic rock climbing routes. Fisher Towers were featured in the opening scene of the movie, Austin Powers in Goldmember.
