This high school student is finishing a good saddle bronc ride in the 2012 Cottonwood High School Rodeo, the first Arizona High School Rodeo Association rodeo held in Cottonwood, Arizona.
The purpose of the Arizona High School Rodeo Association (AHSRA) and Az Junior High School Rodeo Associathin (AJHSRA ) is to promote high school and junior high rodeo on a statewide scale and work towards bringing statewide recognition to the sport of Rodeo. Both organizations strive to promote professional conduct and good sportsmanship at various rodeos events. Their mission is to offer kids in grades 6 through 12 a chance to be competitive student athletes at the highest level of competition in their region, across Arizona and on a national level for championships and thousands of dollars in scholarships. I was born and raised in the Metropolitan New York City area of New Jersey but have lived in Arizona for forty years. After retiring from high school counseling and teaching, I discovered the joy of photography and digital art. Although I strive to get the shot right in the camera, I enjoy the artistic and creative aspects of working with image editing programs.
