Description
SAINT THOMAS YUMA INDIAN MISSION - 3 by PRISCILLA BURGERS
The Saint Thomas Yuma Indian Mission is a Catholic mission in Winterhaven, California. It was built in 1922 and dedicated in 1923. Its design replicates the Mission Puerto de Purísima Concepción, which once stood on the site. The mission was founded by Father Garces in 1780. Padre Garces is memorialized in a statue on the right side of the image.
