Description
SITTING PRETTY IN A RAILROAD HOUSE by PRISCILLA BURGERS
Sunlight, filtered through delicate lace curtains, highlights a vintage chair in a restored trainmaster's house. Originally located in Aquila, Arizona in the early 1900's, this house was moved to Robson's Mining World. (At that time Aguila was called 'Eagle", English for the Spanish word Aguila.) The trainmaster operated the Santa Fe Depot. Robson's Mining World is a step back in time at the site of the Nella-Meda Gold Mining Camp. The mine sits in a notch in the Sonoran Desert's saguaro-covered hills near Aguila, Arizona. The town is now home to thousands of pieces of antique equipment and 26 artifact-filled buildings. It is a fascinating place to visit.
