Description
This Chevy Coupe can be found rusting in peace outside the store/museum at Cordes Station, Arizona. Owned and operated by the Cordes family for over 125 years, the building holds a lot of history. Once a robust stage stop, used by weary travelers, cattlemen, miners, and sheep and goat herders, Cordes remains much the same to give visitors a glimpse of days gone by. Much of what was, still is, although time has taken its toll on the buildings, fences, trails and equipment. In 2005, the great, great, granddaughter of the original owners, John and Lizzie Cordes, reopened Cordes Station as a museum and antique store. Much history is on display to share with you while you browse through antiques and memorabilia of days long ago. The pictured Chevy Coupe was Cathy's grandparents' car when they were married in 1938.
