Artist's Description
RAINY DAY AT THE MILL by PRISCILLA BURGERS
Rain does not spoil but actually may add add to the beauty of Cuttalossa Creek Mill at Cuttalossa Farm in Lumberville,Buck's County, Pennsylvania. The name, Cuttalossa, comes from the name of an Indian village which existed in the area meaning "the place of the middle fountain or spring". This mill was recently built by the owners to pay tribute to the 5 mills that were originally found along the Cuttalossa Creek. The original mill that was part of Cuttalossa Farm, dating back to 1752 and in use until 1929, is now a private residence not located on the current farm. Daniel Garber, the renowned New Hope painter who lived on the farm from 1907 until his death in 1954, brought sheep to the farm to clear the hills of poison ivy. Cuttalossa Farm currently sells Miniature Babydoll Sheep.

About Priscilla Burgers
I was born and raised in the Metropolitan New York City area of New Jersey but have lived in Arizona for forty years. Capturing the beauty of God's creation with landscape photography was my first passion. I thank God for his creations and that I am fortunate enough to see and capture a part of them with my camera. I have also come to enjoy many other facets of photography, such as wildlife, American Western, farm, church, and ghost town photography. I take great pleasure in traveling and...
