Pink tulips compliment yellow tulips tinged with red in a springtime garden.in Spearfish, South Dakota. Due to my Dutch ancestry, I have an affinity for tulips. Since I live in the high desert, tulips will not survive more than one year in my garden. I thus enjoy seeing tulips growing in cooler climates like this.

I was born and raised in the Metropolitan New York City area of New Jersey but have lived in Arizona for forty years. After retiring from high school counseling and teaching, I discovered the joy of photography and digital art. Although I strive to get the shot right in the camera, I enjoy the artistic and creative aspects of working with image editing programs.
