"Putting on Her Boots in Nashville" was photographed on Broadway in downtown Nashville, Tennessee. Nashville is the capital of the state of Tennessee. It is located on the Cumberland River in the north-central part of the state. Nashville is known as a center of the music industry, earning it the nickname "Music City". Lower Broadway is an entertainment district of Nashville. Its features include the Bridgestone Arena, the Nashville Convention Center and various honky tonk bars, including Robert's Western World and Tootsie's Orchid Lounge. The Ryman Auditorium and the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum are both within one block of this area. Nashville's American National Bank Building until recently housed a Tattoo parlor. Currently it houses a boots store, which advertises its wares with this sign over the door.
