Description
SUNSET VIEW FROM JEROME ARIZONA by PRISCILLA BURGERS
Views from the mining ghost town of Jerome, Arizona can be breathtaking, especially when the setting sun shines through clouds, highlighting the hills to the east with drama. A visit to Jerome is a delight for photographers, history buffs and shoppers. Historic buildings in this quirky town are in various states of repair and disrepair. The large building on the left is the historic Little Daisy Hotel. The hotel was built in 1919 by Jimmy Douglas for the miners who worked the nearby Little Daisy Mine. The miners had a room for an eight hour shift. Then they had to get out because the next shift was coming in. For the last few decades, the hotel had been an abandoned shell, but it was recently remodeled into a private residence.
This image is also available as a vintage-look print, in keeping with the town's heyday.
The Fine Art America logo will not appear on your finished product.
