Artist's Description

"ANTELOPE CANYON" by PRISCILLA BURGERS
A long time ago, herds of pronghorn antelope roamed freely in Antelope Canyon, which explains the canyon's English name. These images were captured in Lower Antelope Canyon, which is known as Hasdestwazi to the Navajos, or "spiral rock arches." It was, and is, a spiritual experience to them. Antelope Canyon was formed by erosion of Navajo Sandstone, primarily due to flash flooding and secondarily due to other sub-aerial processes. Rainwater, especially during monsoon season, runs into the extensive basin above the slot canyon sections, picking up speed and sand as it rushes in...

About Priscilla Burgers

Priscilla Burgers

Capturing the beauty of God's creation with landscape photography was my first passion. I thank God for his creations and that I am fortunate enough to see and capture a part of them with my camera. I have also come to enjoy many other facets of photography, such as wildlife, American Western, farm, church, and ghost town photography. I take great pleasure in traveling and...
