Description
Running to the Corral is a black and white image of many horses running to the corral at Rancho de Caballeros resort in Wickenburg, Arizona. The resort owns 85 horses, many of which are run from their pasture to the corral early each morning and back to the pasture late afternoon. The resort welcomes photographers and the general public to come view the horses run. I waited several minutes before sunrise in freezing weather to capture this image. It was worth it! I particularly like the horse on the far left that is turned toward the others. I wonder what he is saying! I made this image during Wickenburg's most popular weekend, their Gold Rush Days. Since all accommodations were booked to capacity, I'm sure all 85 horses were run this morning.
